NUEVA YORK, NY, EEUU.- A partir del 23 de mayo dar\u00e1 inicio el programa migratorio \u201cDefensa de la Libertad\u201d patrocinado por la Gobernaci\u00f3n del Estado de Nueva York.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefensa de la Libertad\u201d ser\u00e1 implementado a trav\u00e9s de 100 consulados e instituciones religiosas por iniciativa de Andrew Cuomo, gobernador del Estado de Nueva York.<\/p>\n

\n

Est\u00e1 dirigido muy especialmente a aquellos inmigrantes con casos migratorios pendientes, en condiciones de vulnerabilidad y que por sus condiciones econ\u00f3micas no pueden costear servicios legales de abogados privados y, por supuesto, a aquellos con preguntas y\/o dudas sobre peticiones, ciudadan\u00eda, permisos, perdones y cualquier otro tema de car\u00e1cter migratorio.<\/p>\n

La informaci\u00f3n fue dada a conocer mediante nota de prensa por la sede consular dominicana en Nueva York.<\/p>\n

La sesi\u00f3n de orientaci\u00f3n para los dominicanos de parte de expertos en asuntos de Inmigraci\u00f3n y en Derecho, tendr\u00e1 lugar de 10:00 de la ma\u00f1ana a 3:30 de la tarde, en la sede consular dominicana localizada en el 1501 de la avenida Broadway, en Manhattan.<\/p>\n

Al presidir en su despacho la primera reuni\u00f3n de coordinaci\u00f3n y log\u00edstica para la implementaci\u00f3n del programa \u201cDefensa de la Libertad\u201d que beneficiar\u00e1 a miles de dominicanos, el c\u00f3nsul general de Rep\u00fablica Dominicana en Nueva York, Carlos Castillo, afirm\u00f3 que esta iniciativa no tiene precedentes.<\/p>\n
