Los Alcarrizos, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.\u2013<\/strong> The National Central of United Retailers (CNDU) requested President Luis Abinader and the Director General of Internal Taxes, Pedro Urrutia, to establish facilities so that small grocery stores can gradually incorporate electronic invoicing, due to their technological, logistical and human resource limitations.<\/p>\n

Ricardo Rosario, president of the organization, explained that, despite the orientation sessions held with specialized companies, the number of small businesses registered remains small.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

P<\/span><\/strong><\/span>Therefore, he proposed extending the grace period for micro-enterprises and allowing merchants to access electronic invoicing solutions according to their needs and capabilities.<\/p>\n

Rosario also raised the possibility that the DGII could issue electronic invoices free of charge to small businesses that have the corresponding registration, when they need to invoice formalized companies or institutions.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He spoke about it during the third edition of the "Conversing with Retailers" Forum, held in Los Alcarrizos, where strategies to face competition and strengthen retail businesses were discussed.<\/p>\n

E<\/span><\/strong><\/span>The meeting was attended by Alexander Cruz Gonz\u00e1lez, from the "A Comer del Campo al Colmado" program; Teodoro Ad\u00f3n, president of Empresas El Primo; and Fellito Luna, president of COOPENADU.<\/p>\n

The CNDU highlighted that small grocery stores (colmados) are an important source of employment and livelihood for thousands of Dominican families. However, they face challenges related to operating costs, taxes, financing, and technological modernization.<\/p>\n

Rosario argued that it is necessary to promote measures that facilitate the formalization and modernization of the sector, without compromising the sustainability of these businesses, which are fundamental to local commerce in the Dominican Republic.<\/p><\/blockquote>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
