Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- The general manager of Banreservas, Samuel Pereyra, announced the official sponsorship of the banking entity to the Baseball team that will represent the Dominican Republic in the 2021 Caribbean Series, to be held in Mazatlán, Mexico, from today until February 6.
The details were provided by Pereyra upon receiving at the headquarters of Banco de Reservas a delegation from the Dominican Baseball League (LIDOM) and the Águilas Cibaeñas, current champions of the 2020-2021 winter baseball tournament.
Upon receiving the jersey and cap that the Dominican team will wear in the 2021 Caribbean Series, the official thanked them for the gift and said he is confident in the talent of the national players to deliver another crown to the Dominican Republic.
“Even before the start of the 2020-2021 Dominican baseball season, we were certain that, despite the pandemic, there would be baseball, and we supported it one hundred percent. Now there will be a Caribbean Series, and we continue to support our Dominican team,” Pereyra said.
The banking executive emphasized that Banreservas has made a commitment to continue supporting sports in the country, as well as all productive sectors that contribute to the well-being and development of Dominicans.
He said that the Dominican people are proud of this sport and what their players do, so he predicted great success for the national team in winning the Caribbean Series crown.
The delegation received by Pereyra was made up of Valentín Contreras and Jorge Torres, general coordinator of Operations and Technical Director of LIDOM, respectively, as well as Ángel Ovalle, general manager of the Águilas Cibaeñas; Tomás Jiménez, delegate; Rafael Almánzar and Virgilio Rojo, rights marketers.
